Landover, MD– The Bears secured their first win of the season on Thursday night at FedExField thanks to DJ Moore's career-best performance.

 The veteran receiver led the Bears to a 40-20 win over the Washington Commanders with eight catches for 230 yards and three touchdowns. 

 . Moore's career-high 230 yards were second in Bears history to Alshon Jeffery's 249 yards in a 2013 game in Minnesota.

 Moore had four catches for 126 yards and a score in the first quarter and another in the second to help the Bears lead 27-3 at halftime.

 He secured the win with a 56-yard touchdown reception with 4:09 left after the Commanders had pulled within 30-20. 

 Justin Fields tossed four touchdown passes in consecutive games, completing 15 of 29 throws for 282 yards with no turnovers and a 125.3 passer rating. He also ran for 57 yards on 11 runs.

 Five sacks and two interceptions were season-highs for the defense.

 Bears (1-4) dominated both sides of the ball in the first half. Their offense scored on all five possessions, powered by three Fields touchdown throws.

 The defense allowed only 84 yards and didn't allow a first down until the Bears led 17-0 early in the second quarter.
