Bills QB Josh Allen Sticks Up for Stefon Diggs After ‘Snub’

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bills to a 48-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins – an accolade Allen claims he does not merit.

Allen believes teammate Stefon Diggs should have won instead.

After the award was revealed on October 4, Allen told reporters that he thought his teammate had been overlooked.

Allen and Diggs were nearly unstoppable against the Dolphins, propelling their club to a win that tied them for first place in the AFC East.

Allen had one of his best games of the season against the Dolphins, recording his first-ever perfect passer rating while completing 21 of 25 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns.

Allen also scored on the ground, helping to overcome the previously unbeaten Miami Dolphins, who were coming off a 70-20 victory over the Denver Broncos.

However, speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Allen stated that Diggs deserved the honor. Diggs had six catches for 120 yards and three touchdowns, tying his career high."

It's Stefon Diggs, man," Allen said, according to the Bills Wire of USA Today. "He should have gotten player of the week this week."But Allen's outstanding performance triumphed.
