Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes have now lost two straight games after a 3-0 start to the season that took over the talk in the sport.

They fell to No. 8 USC 48-41 on Saturday. The Buffaloes defense failed to put up a fight in the first half for the second week in a row,

falling behind 34-14 at halftime after falling behind 35-0 against Oregon in Week 4.

"Caleb is performing admirably. "We had a couple that we would have liked back there at the end that we don't usually make,"

remarked USC head coach Lincoln Riley after the game. "He keeps putting in work for this team.

So proud of his improvement, and the rest of the team must keep up."

In the first half, USC's offense scored touchdowns on five of its first seven drives,

while Colorado missed a field goal and quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw an interception that USC converted into points.
