FedExField— There are natural disasters, the Titanic sinking, and Thursday night's Washington Commanders incident.

Following a 14-game losing streak, the Chicago Bears defeated Washington 40-20 in a game that was certainly not close.

From the outset, the Bears dominated the first half. Chicago went 75 yards and scored its first touchdown in six plays.

Washington scored a field goal after the Bears scored 10 straight points to lead 17-0 early in the second quarter.

Washington got some offense and stops in the second half, but it was too late.

Quarterback Sam Howell was good, but this game had little else to like.

Washington's defensive readiness for this game is questionable.

Chicago has scored at least 30 points against the Commanders four times.

Ron Rivera also made dubious fourth-down calls. Rivera kicks a field goal on 4th and 4 from the Chicago 33-yard line down 17-0 in the second quarter.
