In NY Civil Fraud Case, AG Says Trump Gag Orders Should Stay.

Reuters, New York City - As he continues his civil fraud trial, Donald Trump should not be allowed to publicly discuss court employees,

the New York attorney general's office stated on Wednesday. The gag order was imposed on October 3 by Justice Arthur Engoron,

the presiding court in the case, after the former president of the United States ,

posted a picture of the judge's law clerk with Democratic U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer ,

on social media and misidentified her as Schumer's girlfriend.According to Engoron,

the court was "inundated" with hundreds of threats from Trump fans after the post. The injunction,

which prohibited the attorneys for the parties from commenting on the clerk's correspondence with the court,

was extended by Engoron in November.Trump filed an appeal last month, claiming the orders infringed upon his freedom of speech under the constitution.
