NFL Makes Final Call on Punishment for Mac Jones After Sauce ‘Dirty Play’

The NFL's final decision in the Mac Jones-Sauce Gardner case from Week 3 will not delight New York Jets fans.

According to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero, the league "didn't fine" Jones "for his actions in last week's game against the Jets."

"Any discipline would've required sufficient video evidence to support Sauce Gardner's accusation," he stated.

There wasn't enough in this scenario."The NFL had previously decided earlier in the week that Jones would not face a punishment for "allegedly cup-checking" Sauce,

but whether or not he would be punished remained unclear.Sauce accused Jones of "dirty play" following the Jets-Pats game, and he shared the details during his post-game media conference.

During the Week 3 game, Sauce was seen on television shoving Jones to the ground after the play. Sauce, on the other hand, stated that he did so because Mac approached him and "hit me in my private parts.

"Gardner then sent an 11-second video clip to X's former Twitter account, showing Jones approaching him and then shove him.
