While the New York Jets signed massive receiver Mecole Hardman this offseason, many expected him to be an important part of the New York Jets passing offense this season.
It hasn't exactly turned out that way, and it appears that his time in New York may be limited.
According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the New York Jets are "looking at alternatives" for wide receiver Mecole Hardman, which might include selling the wide out."
According to league assets, the #Jets are looking several possibilities for Mecole Hardman, including a capacity change.
Despite signing a one-year, $4 million free enterprise address upside to Hardman, he became inactive on Sunday and has not been in the plans.
"Jets can find him a new home and more gambling time," Fowler wrote in a post on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter.
It would undoubtedly be a significant and crucial move as the team continues to strive to find its identity on offense after losing Aaron Rodgers for the season, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
We'll have to wait and watch if the Jets decide to move the experienced receiver.
