At Clarence House, Queen Camilla is getting into the Christmas mood!
The Queen, who is 76 years old, invited kids from the Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity to help her arrange the Christmas tree at her main home,
where she lives with King Charles. As the patron of both charities for many years, Queen Camilla has held the holiday decorating party every year and called families who get help from both groups to the event.
Buckingham Palace is often linked to the British royal family, but King Charles and Queen Camilla don't live there. The couple is staying at Clarence House, their longtime home in London,
while the palace is being restored. They broke tradition when they chose to sleep at home instead of their designated Parliament bedroom the night before their coronation on May 6.
The queen was beaming as she talked with her guests. Aside from decorating the tree, guests were also treated to a show by the Band and Bugles of The Rifles.
Since July 2020, when she took over from Prince Philip, Queen Camilla has been Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment.
There was another treat for the Queen: Santa Claus and his reindeer came to see her! The royal smiled for a picture with Santa, who in England is called Father Christmas, and patted a reindeer that was decorated with bells.
