Steelers Urged to Target Former $50 Million Starting Lineman

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense's sluggish start to the 2023 season can be attributed to a variety of factors. This covers both coaches and players.

However, the Bleacher Report The offensive line is the root of Pittsburgh's offensive problem, according to NFL personnel. Keeping this in mind,

the BR staff suggested that the Steelers pursue veteran offensive tackle La'el Collins in free agency.

"The root of the problem still lies with the offensive line, and signing La'el Collins so the Steelers have him when he gets healthy to replace Chukwuma Okorafor could jump-start the offensive line," the staff at BR noted.

Collins tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee in December 2022. On September 27,

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the veteran tackle had been medically cleared to return to the field.

According to Fowler, "about a dozen or so teams" inquired about Collins. It's not difficult to understand why.

Collins has long been a dependable starter on the offensive line. He began his career as a left guard for the Dallas Cowboys before moving to right tackle.
