The latest image for 'Argylle' features Henry Cavill channeling Ivan Drago.

A new photograph from the film Argylle, which features Henry Cavill in the role of the title character, has been posted by Total Film Magazine.

The actor will play a man in peril when a criminal group operates too closely to Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) novels.

The writer will become embroiled in a criminal plot with nowhere else to go, changing her life forever by the words she wrote.

Conway must defend herself from shadow criminals with limited time and resources.

Cavill has played dangerous characters before, including Man of Steel and Mission: Impossible - Fallout, but Agent Argylle will be different.

Matthew Vaughn, the film's director, told Collider's Maggie Lovitt what would make the character stand out.

When asked to define Cavill, Vaughn said, "I'd say he's a third [James] Bond, a third Superman, and a third Ivan Drago."

Vaugh managed the Kingsman brand for years, working with secret operatives and fascinating espionage.

Eggsy's (Taron Egerton) odyssey is far from complete, but Argylle will allow the director to use a fresh tone for the story about an author who takes action she wrote about for years.

Vaughn has chosen a stellar supporting cast for the film that will push Henry Cavill to his limit, like he has in his past films.
