Paramount has also given the go-ahead for two new spinoff series: “1944” and a modern series called “2024.” The new shows are made by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, the same companies that make the main show.

 

The fifth season of Taylor Sheridan’s hugely popular Paramount Network show “Yellowstone” will be the last. This was revealed in May. Before, Paramount said that the fifth season would be split into two parts. From November 2022 to January 2023, the first eight episodes ran. Because of the writers’ strike and then the SAG-AFTRA strike, the show hasn’t been able to go back to work since. The writers’ strike ended in September, but the players’ strike is still going on.According to Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, “Yellowstone” went from being a hit U.S.

Celebrity Kevin Costner was said to be leaving “Yellowstone” in Season 5 in December because he wanted to work on the epic two-part Western feature “Horizon,” which would have made it very hard for him to film “Yellowstone.” The movie’s first part is set to come out in June 2024, and its second part will come out in August.

One of the most-watched TV shows of all time is “Yellowstone,” which is about the Dutton family and their huge cattle ranch in Montana. A huge 17 million people watched the first episode of the first half of Season 5.

 

“1944” is the latest in a long line of “Yellowstone” prequels that Sheridan has made for Paramount as part of his huge total deal. He has already started “1883” and “1923” on Paramount+. Both shows are about the Dutton family in the year of the title.

Few details are known about the plot of “2024,” but it is likely to start airing after “Yellowstone” ends. Someone who knows about the show says that it will have new cast members, new places, and some crossover characters as well. When Paramount stated that the flagship show would end after Season 5, they also announced a new modern show set in the world of “Yellowstone” that was supposed to start airing in December of this year. It was also said before that Matthew McConaughey was in talks to play the lead role in the show.Sheridan also has the Paramount+ shows “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Tulsa King,” “Special Ops: Lioness,” “Land Man,” and “Lawmen: Bass Reeves.” He is also working on a number of other projects.

 

“Yellowstone” was made by Sheridan and John Linson together. John Linson, Art Linson, Sheridan, Costner, Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, and Christina Voros are some of the executive producers. MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios are in charge of making both “Yellowstone” and the new movie.
