Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, announced that "we are at war" after Gazan militants penetrated his country.

Additionally, 1,610 Palestinians sustained minor injuries, according to the Health Ministry.

The Israeli military has declared a "state of war alert," announced strikes on the neighboring Gaza Strip, and activated reserve personnel.

In front of Israel's military command center, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proclaimed, "We are at war."
